Our take
Discharging and transferring patients from hospitals to other care facilities is a lengthy process, weighed down by a heap of administrative tasks and paperwork. This is bad for both patients and hospitals, which is why Recare has stepped up to help improve the process.
The company supplies a digital discharge management platform to automate some of the administration associated with patient transfers. In a nutshell, it enables hospital workers to find the right aftercare facilities for their patients by simply entering their needs, and subsequently request a transfer online.
This approach benefits patients by supplying the care they need, hospitals by reducing stay time, and aftercare facilities by enabling them to optimize the use of their capacity. Its a promising concept, and has earned Recare a good amount of funding which it will use to expand its marketplace and bring faster aftercare to more patients.
