Role
Who you are
- 1–2 years of product design experience or equivalent project work/internships
- A portfolio that demonstrates an understanding of core design principles, visual design, and UX thinking
- Strong proficiency in Figma
- Solid familiarity with the human-centered design process and a curious, data-oriented mindset
- Strong understanding of information hierarchy, iOS and Android design patterns, responsive web design, breakpoints, and interest in design for accessibility
- Clear written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Growth mindset, openness to feedback, and enthusiasm for learning

- You love solving problems and use software, service flows, and behavior change design to do so

What the job involves
- Design delightful and user-friendly screens, flows, and prototypes
- Interview users and user test lo-fi screens and prototypes, using findings to iterate on your designs
- Work with UX writers on copy, and brand designers to add illustrations and motion design to your work
- Apply and extend established design patterns and systems to maintain consistency and quality
- Create high-fidelity mockups and detailed design specifications, partnering with engineering and product management to ensure successful development of designs

The world is facing a growing mental health crisis. In 2022, the US saw the proportion of the population with acute anxiety, depression, or other mental health needs grow from 20% to 40%.
Headspace is a digital mental health platform best known for its guided meditation and mindfulness app, which has expanded into a broader suite of mental health services. Through therapy, coaching, meditation, and self-care tools, the company is making mental health support more accessible and preventative.
In 2021, Headspace merged with on-demand mental healthcare provider Ginger in a $3B deal to form Headspace Health, a move that brings clinical care and everyday mental wellness into a single platform. Today, its services are being used by more than 100M people and over 4,000 enterprises, including Starbucks, Adobe, and Paramount.
Demand for virtual mental healthcare continues to rise, and the market is becoming increasingly competitive, with players such as Hims & Hers Health entering the space. However, Headspace stands out by combining clinical care with everyday mental wellness tools, expanding its offerings through strategic acquisitions like AI health firm Sayana, and now bringing its services directly to businesses in the UK, positioning itself for growth bon a global scale.
