Who you are
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases, and Python data libraries like pandas, NumPy, and Jupyter
- Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, Spark, Stitch)
- Experience working with data warehouses and query engines (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Athena)
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Understanding of optimization methods in data engineering
Desirable
- Experience with version control and CI/CD tooling (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana, Datadog)
- Experience working with streaming or real-time data tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Amazon Kinesis)
What the job involves
- Our mission is simple: End Cyber Risk. We’re looking for a Software Developer - Analytics be part of making this/that happen
- The Developer will contribute to our FinOps team by supporting initiatives focused on FinOps-related analytics. This includes working with orchestration tools, databases, data pipelines, and platforms
- You will primarily program in Python and SQL. Your contributions will be a critical part of FinOps efforts at Arctic Wolf, enabling us to deliver world-class cybersecurity software to our clients in a cost-effective manner
- Develop and maintain a scalable FinOps analytics platform on AWS to support Data Scientists, Developers, Analysts, Economists, and Managers in understanding cloud cost-related metrics
- Build and optimize data pipelines from various sources using Python and SQL
- Work with a variety of existing and emerging software engineering tools and technologies as needed
- Improve deployment processes, monitor data inputs/outputs, and ensure accuracy across complex data pipelines
- Gain familiarity with core FinOps practices, including Cost Visibility, Budgeting and Forecasting, Resource Optimization, Chargeback and Showback, Governance and Control, and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices for improving the FinOps analytics platform
