What the job involves
- We’re looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the Design Systems pod
- This role blends strong people leadership with deep technical and systems thinking
- You’ll stay close to the code and the roadmap while setting a clear vision for how the design system evolves across platforms (Web and React Native), teams, and future AI-driven workflows
- You’ll create the conditions for adoption, consistency, and long-term sustainability—partnering closely with Design, Product, and Engineering to ensure the system serves the organization, not the other way around
- Lead a cross-functional Design Systems pod, partnering closely with Design
- Own and evolve Fullscript’s design system across Web (React) and Mobile (React Native)
- Act as a strong advocate for systems thinking across the engineering organization
- Drive adoption of the design system through clear APIs, documentation, tooling, and enablement
- Set technical direction and standards for component architecture, theming, and accessibility
- Explore and integrate AI-assisted workflows and tools to enhance how the design system is built, used, and scaled
- Balance near-term delivery with long-term system health and extensibility
- Ensure the system supports product velocity while maintaining a high bar for UX quality
