Role
Who you are
- 2-5 years of Management experience leading high performing Sales Engineers
- A strong passion for helping others grow their skill sets, as well as a “hands-on” approach to assisting others
- Strong knowledge of digital transformation to a Cloud Native architecture, On-Prem, Public Cloud, Provisioning Automation, and Containers
- Deep understanding of the architecture, design and implementation of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solutions
- Prior experience in setting team strategy to acquire new prospects and converting them into clients
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
- BS in CS, EE or other technical degree and/or equivalent experience
Desirable
- Knowledge of business impact of current and emerging storage architectures (FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, SAN) Desired
- Experience supporting the sales of storage, networking or systems solutions to a combination of large accounts and data centers or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of VMWare, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP and general networking
What the job involves

- Lead the Costa Rica SE Center of Excellence (CoE): Drive the development and success of the CoE to support the core SE business, focusing on repeatable fleet lifecycle management and pre and post sales tasks
- Demonstrate effective people development: Develop and nurture Associate SEs (ASEs) within the CoE, ensuring they are equipped to handle complex technical challenges and support the core SE organization. Coach and build mentors/leaders on the ASE team to aid in onboarding and continued development and success of other ASEs
- Work with other senior leaders at Pure to improve existing offerings, as well as jointly creating new service offerings to drive greater revenue and customer experience
- Drive technical account management: Oversee technical account management to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support of Pure Storage solutions, fostering strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Lead from the front, with the help of your technical leads, be ready to take a “hands-on” approach to helping ASEs succeed with technical validation, technical proposals, driving customer feature adoption, owning lifecycle management, and delivering an outstanding customer experience
- Use your experience to lead ASEs to hitting their SLAs and KPIs, with the ultimate goal of an amazing customer experience and additional revenue for Pure Storage
- Refine strategy and tactics: Develop and refine strategies and tactics within the CoE to support the technical responsibilities of the core SE business
- Enhance pre-sales and post-sales efforts: Ensure the CoE effectively supports both pre-sales and post-sales activities, optimizing customer engagement and satisfaction
- Promote adoption of new capabilities and products: Support strategies to drive the adoption of new capabilities and products among customers, ensuring they realize the full value and benefits
