Quality Assurance Engineer, Webdoctor

• Leading by example, you will be very strong on QA processes and procedures, gained within an Agile environment
• At least 2 years experience in QA ideally with some exposure to agile development
• An understanding of the importance of clear communication with excellent spoken and written English
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC
• Experience in testing dynamic applications across web, mobile and API
• A strong ability to understand intricate systems in order to devise complete and astute test scenarios is key to this role
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Some knowledge of CI/CD tooling and processes is an advantage
• Ability to work on own initiative and must be detail oriented
• Proven ability to work on multiple projects at once
• Ability to adapt to test processes and improve these where necessary

• Due to our continued growth, Medihive is seeking a QA Engineer for a 6 month Specified Purpose contract (maternity leave cover). This person will join a growing team of engineers working under the Head of Test who are assigned within agile product engineering teams to drive quality across all products
• You will be supported by a community of practice QA function, whilst delivering from within your scrum team. The successful candidate will work with the latest technologies to develop next-generation applications and products, making sure all functionality is top-quality, secure and robust
• Design and create test cases and scripts to address business and technical use cases
• Work within an Agile environment, using JIRA
• Interact with product management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the project and testing objectives
• Maintain and expand existing testing documentation (test plans, test cases/scripts, defect reports, etc.) for product and solutions
• Execute manual tests across the applications backend and frontend while using a range of hardware including desktop, mobile and tablets
• Participate in troubleshooting issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
• Document, track and escalate issues as appropriate
• Support production deployment of applications
• Participate in demonstrations internally within engineering and externally to the organisation
• Quickly gain product knowledge and become a product expert
• Conduct ad-hoc or exploratory testing as required
• Continually look to improve the QA process
