Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in digital analytics and data strategy
- Advanced knowledge of Data Systems including: collection, sanitizing, pipelines, warehouse (snowflake), ETL (dbt), and visualizations (Sigma)
- Experience in designing and implementing measurement solutions for digital products, web, mobile apps, and devices (Android/iOS)
- Proficiency in translating 1st & 3rd party data sources, such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
- Understanding of Python for data manipulation and automation
- Ability to query across multiple datasets with join and merge functions
- Experience with data visualization tools, including Looker and Tableau
- Proven ability to perform root cause analysis and drive process improvements
- Strong expertise in data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
What the job involves
- As the Director of Data, you will play a pivotal role in building the infrastructure and thought leadership necessary to provide critical data insights that drive audience and business growth
- You will empower strategic decision-making through detailed analysis, insights, and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- This role demands a commitment to accuracy, the ability to troubleshoot anomalies in the data pipeline, and collaboration with data technicians for prompt resolution
- You will be fluent in the end-to-end flow of data from consumer to stakeholder and will be excited about optimizing or even re-designing our company's data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives
- You will become an expert on the functions and data flows across the organization working multidisciplinary with all departments
- Operationalize and maintain standard campaign reporting for key stakeholders
- Utilize advanced database queries, statistical analysis, and streamlined data reporting best practices
- Identify user cohorts and trends across platforms, devices, topics, etc
- Apply data modeling techniques and tools to analyze large databases and complex data sets for insights and predictive analytics
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to design and deliver actionable reporting to multiple departments
- Partner with business analysts and operational stakeholders to define analytics requirements and end-user reporting
- Work closely with product developers and data engineers to implement measurement solutions across digital platforms and initiatives
- Perform Q/A and troubleshooting of data implementations and database services
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to enhance data collection and identify new data sets for future reporting
- Implement best practices in data management to uphold data integrity and governance
- Develop thought leadership to uplevel how all departments collect, think about and make decisions on data

Atmosphere is a streaming service providing an alternative to cable TV for businesses.
The platform provides businesses (like salons, bars and airports) a free TV service with weekly refreshed content including audio free options from YouTube, TikTok and more with no storyline to follow, a feature that is super appealing for many businesses that don’t want or can’t have the volume up. The company provides free streaming in exchange to run free advertising between programmes. The young start-up is already boasting statistics like a 14% increase in business for companies using Atmosphere TV and 19% increase in guests in the 45,000 venues across 35 countries.
The company raised $100 million in funding and grew from 75 to 260 employees in 2021. In 2022 Atmosphere grew to over 500 and acquired new funding to support growth plans. Alongside the success of the company’s work (in 2024 announcing its broadcasting of the X Winter Sports Games), Atmosphere has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Austin 2 years in a row by Built.
