Role
Who you are
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Interaction Design
- 1-3 years of experience as a graphic designer, or relevant internship experience, with a portfolio showcasing social media, web, mobile and print projects
- Design presentation decks and visual storytelling materials to support internal and external presentations
- Fully proficient in MacOS
- Proficiency using Adobe CC with a focus on InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Experience creating designs that work across desktop and mobile formats
- Proficiency using Figma
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CMS
- Working knowledge of UX/UI strategies and processes
- Up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques and technologies
- Creativity and Innovation: seeks new and better ways of doing things, generates original and imaginative ideas, products, or solutions
- Collaboration and Teamwork: works with others to deliver results, meaningfully contributing to the team and prioritizing group needs over individual needs

- Certificate or courses in UX/UI Design

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to support the creation of design and production solutions across a variety of media, including digital, social, web, and print
- Working within the Brand team, this role contributes to creative projects with accuracy and attention to detail while collaborating with designers, marketers, and cross-functional teams
- You will support the development and execution of brand campaigns and creative assets, help bring ideas to life across multiple channels, and gain experience throughout the full design process, from concept through launch to performance tracking
- In this role, you will report to the Senior Digital Designer
- Support the creation of design assets for social, email, web, digital paid ads and print-based projects with defined objectives and strategies. Ensure designs are on brand and aligned with our brand purpose
- Collaborate with team members on creative projects and contribute to meeting project timelines
- Assist with the design process from concept through to final production, receiving feedback and direction from senior designers
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions and support the execution of creative campaigns across channels
- Share design work with team members and incorporate feedback during project reviews
- Help prepare and finalize design files for production and delivery
- Maintain attention to detail while managing multiple tasks and deadlines
- Work collaboratively with the design team and independently on assigned tasks as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Hootsuite is a leading social media management platform that’s been around since the early days of this now-ballooning online sector. With over 25 million customers, and used by staff at over four fifths of the Fortune 1000, this giant is hugely competitive in the space.
Thought Hootsuite's plans for an IPO didn't survive the tough economic conditions of 2022, it managed to rework its priorities to get back on course. For example, its acquisitions of Sparkcentral and Talkwalker allowed the company to expand into customer service and integrate AI, respectively.
Hootsuite's offering nowadays supplies businesses with a social media performance engine to turn insights into action, all fuelled by artificial intelligence. Unfortunately, the company once again laid off staff during 2025, stating an investment in its future where decisions are made faster and ownership is clear.
