Who you are
- Are currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Analytics or Business Intelligence or a related field and that requires participation in a co-op/internship placement as part of the curriculum to graduate
- Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Basic proficiency in using SQL, Data Visualization software(s) and Microsoft Office Suite products such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Experience with market research, data analysis, or client management is a plus!
What the job involves
- Internship Terms: 9-Month Term commencing May 2025 working up to 29 hours per week
- We are looking for a Business Insights Intern to help us mine data, extract insights, and tell compelling stories that influence business decisions. In this role, you will analyse data to uncover key trends and present your findings to both internal stakeholders and external clients in a way that is clear, actionable, and impactful
- This is a great opportunity to gain experience in business intelligence, storytelling with data, and analytics consulting, while working on real-world projects in the sports and entertainment industry
- Gain hands-on experience working on real projects and interacting with clients
- Learn to analyse data, create presentations, and deliver insights to internal clients
- Develop strong communication, presentation, and writing skills
- Enhance your storytelling skills using tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, SQL, and Amazon Quicksight
- Build your analytical and problem-solving skills
- Participate in internal client meetings and presentations, and gain exposure to different industries and sectors
- Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals and learn about the latest trends and best practices in client communications and analytics
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that drive business decisions
- Uncover actionable insights related to fan behaviour, ticketing, sponsorship, and marketing performance
- Develop clear, compelling data narratives through visualization, storytelling, and presentations
- Work closely with internal teams and external clients to translate insights into strategic recommendations
- Assist in building reports, presentations, and dashboards to communicate key findings
- Support ad-hoc research projects related to sports business, fan engagement, and live event trends

Live Nation is the world's leading live entertainment company, sitting at the top of the market in live events and ticketing. Formed in 2005, it is a major international company, with key business segments made up of concerts, ticketing, and sponsorship and advertising.
Despite its dominant position in the market, the company saw an 84% drop in revenue during 2020 and the closure of live events. Since then, however, demand has been stronger than ever for their ticket sales.
