Who you are
- Have a passion and career aspirations to work within Financial Accounting
- Looking to or have already started with gaining your accountancy qualification
- Awareness of the structure and operations of HL is essential and how this translates to the company’s P&L
- Evidence of being highly numerate, organised and with strong attention to detail is essential
- Experience of using excel is desirable

What the job involves
- An excellent role has arisen for a Finance Assistant to join our Accounts Payable function of Finance. This is a great opportunity to commence your Finance career in a company which will provide you with the training and guidance needed to ensure your success
- HL operates a centralised finance function which covers all aspects of financial and management accounting along with regulatory reporting, financial forecasting and modelling, tax and investor relations
- You will be joining the Accounts Payable function who are responsible for the payment of HL’s third party suppliers and assisting with the group’s cost accounting processes
- Process and pay HL’s third party suppliers
- Process and pay colleague’s staff expense claims
- Assist with the company’s month end financial accounting processes
- Fulfil and provide deliverables for the group’s external auditors
- Support and deliver training articles to colleagues with the supplier payment process
- Assist with the analysis of the company’s payment performance and financial performance
- Support with the delivery of continuous improvement of Finance systems and processes
- Ensure process documentation are kept up to date and relevant
- Ensure risk events are logged and escalated as soon as they are known
- This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
