Who you are

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a full-stack Engineer, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Solid understanding of both front-end and back-end development, with the ability to work seamlessly across the entire software stack
- Proficiency in modern web development technologies and frontend frameworks like React
- Strong experience with backend development using NodeJS and TypeScript
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, RDS, SQS, Step Functions)
- Demonstrated experience in designing scalable and modular software architectures, following best practices working with data structures and design patterns
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical challenges
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a proven track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams
- Experience with practices like pair programming, code reviews and knowledge-sharing
- A passion for learning new technologies, keeping up with industry trends, and applying new knowledge to improve existing processes and systems
- Nice to have: Infrastructure management using CDK, familiarity with CI/CD processes
- Based in Berlin or plans to relocate here (no relocation or work permit support is provided)
- We are a hybrid team that works together in the office at least 3 days of the week (with an allowance for more flexible remote work throughout the year)
- Fluent English speaker (written & spoken), German is a plus
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a highly skilled and passionate full-stack engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our innovative product.
- We’re at an early stage of building our product, and you’ll be heavily involved in the design and development of our web-based SaaS application
- You’ll have influence in choosing the best tools for our needs and developing creative solutions to some of our trickiest problems
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable software architecture and technical designs
- Design and implement server-side logic, APIs, and databases to support our application’s functionality, security, and performance
- Develop user interfaces using modern web technologies like React and Typescript, ensuring a seamless and responsive user experience
- Write clean, maintainable code and conduct thorough testing to ensure high-quality software deliverables
- Optimize the application’s performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring smooth functionality and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Document technical specifications, architectural decisions, and code changes to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainable codebase
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, actively sharing knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement
