Who you are
- You are a self‐starter and excited to take on hard problems

- You have 5+ years of experience in enterprise software
- You have a hands-on technical background with a consultative approach
- You are an expert in implementing the full software development lifecycle with multiple years of experience in an enterprise environment
- You are experienced developing in at least one of our supported languages: Java, .NET, Go, JS, Python, PHP, NodeJS, Ruby, Rails, iOS, or Android
- You are able to guide customers and teammates in implementation of DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery practices
- You have delivered on teams through development process transformation
- You learn and synthesize large amounts of information and are adept at acquiring the context you need to make prescriptive recommendations to our customers
- You have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, but the discipline and focus to know where you attention is most needed
- Experience with experimentation and mobile
- You have served as a consultant for customers in the past
- You have performed in both a pre-sales and post-sales capacity
- Experience with LaunchDarkly or other feature management platforms
- You have worked with the services of one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- You have worked with Linux, Containers, and Virtual Machines

- Solutions Architects at LaunchDarkly are the core of our elite Professional Services organization, helping customers decouple deploy from release to enable rapid, reliable, and safe software delivery
- As a key member of the Revenue team, you will apply your technical expertise to guide customers through transformative implementations of LaunchDarkly, acting as a trusted advisor throughout their journey
- In this role, you will lead strategic engagements with our customers and partners, helping them accelerate software development and adopt modern release practices that reduce risk and improve velocity

- Leverage deep technical expertise and a consultative approach to understand customer needs, gather detailed requirements, and influence key decisions that drive successful outcomes
- Lead Professional Services engagements designed to optimize our clients’ software delivery processes, aligning their strategies with industry best practices for improved efficiency and innovation
- Provide guidance on software development best practices, advising customers on how to harness LaunchDarkly to accelerate software delivery while minimizing risk and enhancing quality
- Foster a robust technical partnership between LaunchDarkly and its customers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing value across all touchpoints
- Identify and resolve technical obstacles that hinder value realization, enabling customers to achieve their objectives more effectively
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert on LaunchDarkly, continuously evolving your knowledge to stay ahead of industry trends
- Act as a key advocate for customers, synthesizing and conveying their feedback to Product and Engineering teams, driving the development of solutions that support both customer success and company objectives
Our take
Feature flags are a powerful software development tool, allowing teams to modify system behavior without changing code, therefore minimizing risk. If a business has a new feature they want to test, they can then roll it out to a small set of users before letting it go live. These companies can, for example, get quick feedback on the new feature and fix any bugs, or roll back any changes.
LaunchDarkly allows companies to run tests like this by activating the new code for only a small set of users prior to launch. Typically running these tests requires lots of developer time - a daunting and expensive prospect for most rapidly growing businesses - and can risk disruption to the user experience if testing takes place on the live product.
The platform is used by more than 1,500 customers, including the likes of IBM, Intuit and Atlassian. Signalling a change in strategy, the company shook up its management in 2023 and is now aiming to scale its already strong growth under the leadership of Dan Rogers, a product and marketing specialist with an impressive track record at Rubrik, AWS and Microsoft. It is now well poised to develop into a leading business in the feature management space.
