You have 4+ years of experience in production design, graphic design, or visual communication, ideally within a creative agency, media company, or tech brand
You’re fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator) and Figma. (Bonus if you have motion chops / familiarity in After Effects or similar)
You have a strong understanding of digital formats, responsive design, and file optimization for web and mobile
You’re exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
You’re a team player who thrives on collaboration, feedback, and shared success
You're passionate about visual storytelling and brand craft (both the big idea and the pixel-perfect execution)

What the job involves

Join the Sales team and you’ll build the relationships that help grow our business in existing markets and beyond. We don’t just sell creative solutions to our clients and partners, we help to shape them; using our expert knowledge of ad products, sales channels and the industry to impact the way the world experiences music and podcasts
Spotify Advertising is looking for a versatile Designer, Brand and Marketing (Spotify Advertising) to help bring our brand and marketing programs to life. You’ll collaborate with marketers, designers, and strategists to create beautiful, high-performing assets that support our advertising business globally
Create, adapt, and refine sales collateral, presentations, digital ads, landing pages, and other marketing materials that communicate Spotify Advertising’s story
Work closely with designers, brand strategists, marketers, and cross-functional partners to deliver creative assets that are both on-brand and on-brief
Ensure all deliverables are production-ready and optimized for digital formats, responsive layouts, and diverse global markets
Uphold the Spotify visual identity while exploring new, innovative ways to express the brand across advertising touchpoints
Balance multiple deadlines while maintaining quality, consistency, and attention to detail
Share knowledge, best practices, and inspiration to help elevate the broader creative team

Our take

Spotify was founded in an attempt to combat the rampant music piracy that was causing significant harm to the industry. The company has since taken music streaming mainstream and now has 180m+ paying subscribers across the world.

With features that include a highly accessible interface and a vast catalogue of artists, Spotify's strong brand has been able to maintain growth in spite of fierce competition from deep-pocketed rivals like Amazon and Apple. The company has achieved this by making smart acquisitions to move into other verticals to strengthen its offerings, especially podcasting, by acquiring Gimlet Media, Anchor and Parcast.

Spotify's future plans include rapid growth with a goal to become a one-stop destination for all digital sound, as well as AI and NFT integrations. However, high costs incurred from the acquisition of exclusive podcasts, increasing competitor strength, and weak bottom-line growth mean that the company must find a balance to maintain its position in the sector.
