Who you are
- If you are passionate about emerging trends in the fintech space, including everything from digital banking to cross border payments, then we have the role for you
- 5+ years professional experience working in a financial services or banking industry related position (fintech vendor, or related investment banking, equity research, consulting, or journalism experience)
- Writing experience within the above fields is a must - ability to synthesize complex concepts into digestible, forward looking insights
- Demonstrate a contagious passion for the material: Should be a startup / tech geek passionate about all things fintech
- Strong communication and presentation skills and leadership abilities. You should feel comfortable speaking to Fortune 500 clients/prospects as an authority on the business and the category
- Some startup experience is a plus, a thick skin and high tolerance for change required
- BA/BS required; relevant graduate degrees a plus
- You are excited about how AI is transforming tech

- You will be given the opportunity to produce digestible and actionable insights and track technology markets as well as the industry competitors of tomorrow
- In this role you will help identify which emerging tech markets will flourish and which will fade, by using data and not your gut

- To do so, you will have full access to the CB Insights software platform and its billions of data points, which you will be immersed in every day

- Our analysts and editors come from backgrounds as diverse as investment banking, VC, consulting, equity research, journalism, and market research
- As you grow, you will have the opportunity to work with both startups and incumbents in your industry, and have the ear of senior decision makers
- Publish digestible, differentiated, and incisive research on our client-only platform
- Analyze the momentum of fintech startups, tech markets, and competitive dynamics
- Develop forward-looking analyses and insights for public-facing reports across fintech topics
- Develop and give client and prospect presentations to discuss tech markets and companies in fintech
- When required, mentor, coach, and supervise the work of one or two junior analysts
- Support PR and media requests with subject matter expertise
- Proactively identify industry trends and customer needs to guide content planning
- Must be passionate and knowledgeable about technology investment, venture capital, and early-stage innovation in financial services or banking
