What the job involves
- As an Internal Business Development Manager at Octopus, you’ll play a critical role in driving our success. Your mission will be to inspire and educate financial advisers, empowering them to address their clients’ needs through dynamic telephone-based selling
- In partnership with our External BDM, you’ll craft and execute a regional business plan to achieve ambitious targets
- Fostering and nurturing existing adviser relationships, ensuring they continue to thrive
- Identifying new commercial business opportunities through expert questioning and insight
- Serving as the go-to person for all adviser enquiries, identifying the commercial opportunity for them and Octopus alongside delivering exceptional customer service
- Generating and managing leads to increase business inflow
- Owning the regional events and marketing strategy which may include presenting at events and hosting webinars
- Arranging adviser meetings for your External BDMs as well as attending and hosting them, where relevant
- Providing valuable feedback to the wider business, ensuring the needs of advisers and their clients are met
- Delivering impactful presentations to IFAs
- Attending and representing Octopus at industry conferences and seminars
- Continually refining internal systems to enhance regional efficiency
