Who you are

The ideal person will be passionate about building consumer data privacy software, and will have experience across most of these areas:
NodeJS and web development
Writing tests
Asynchronous jobs execution / event brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
Databases - Postgres, SQL, and NoSQL (Redis, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Cassandra)
User data security best practices
Designing core, backend software components
Implementing integrations with third-party APIs
Diagnosing and addressing performance issues
Kubernetes, micro-services, and resource management
AWS, GCP, Azure
HTML/CSS
Bonus if you have experience working in the consumer privacy or consumer data industries, Python and automation tools
4+ years experience as a backend or full-stack engineer building web applications
2+ years experience with NodeJS via a meaningful project
Demonstrated knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals
Maturity, self-awareness, empathy, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive attitude

What the job involves

We’re seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced full stack engineer with a background in Node.js and who enjoys early stage environments that provide freedom to move fast and ship new customer-facing products and features at high velocity
You’ll work closely with the founders of the company and have a high degree of influence and input
You will be working closely with our engineering leaders located in Tel Aviv, Israel

Our take

Optery’s award-winning, patented search technology has built the company’s product into a truly influential platform for the over 1.5M+ customer opt-outs/removals it has managed so far.

The company is known as the first to offer a free account that enables users to see the scope of their digital footprint through screenshots of where their information is being shared online. Beyond that, the company gives users the option to manually remove their information or allow Optery to automatically remove them from those sites, erasing their home address, phone number, email, and other personal information at scale.

There are a number of websites that offer similar services, such as DeleteMe and Privacy Bee, but Optery offers deeper and more widespread insights than other options. As one of the top options on the market, Optery is well set to see continued growth.
