Role
Who you are
- 1+ years either management or leading a team. For example if you are a tech lead, a squad lead or something similar, we're interested in hearing from you
- 5+ years hands on software engineering experience. This can be in any tech stack. You must also have a desire to work across the entire software engineering stack
- You care deeply about building a collaborative and empathetic environment that puts people’s development first
- You’re passionate about developing products that have a meaningful impact on people’s lives
What the job involves
- You will line manage 2-4 software engineers. These engineers will be in either the UK or France.
- Accountable for scoping and delivering software engineering projects in an iterative approach.
- Collaborate with other EMs and software engineers to continuously improve our processes and engineering culture.
- Participate in our hiring and onboarding processes to identify, hire and onboard great talent.
- Develop full stack product features and work alongside staff engineers to build scalable solutions.

- Interview with Engineering Director (Billy or Florian) and Engineering Manager - 1 hour
- Take home task and review with Technical Lead and Software Engineer - 1 hour
- Interview with Engineering Director (Billy or Florian) and a senior member of Welcome to the Jungle team outside of the product organisation (1 hour)

- Though we’re quite early in our journey, our employees are starting to roll out initiatives that help us to better understand and empathise with each other and the world around us. We collect meaningful data in our onboarding survey, conduct privilege awareness workshops as part of employee onboarding, and anonymise tasks during interview processes to eliminate bias.
