Company mission

To create a world of new possibilities, bridging the gap between human and machine.

Role

Who you are

  • A deep curiosity about technology
  • High rigor and agency in one's opinions
  • An obsession with customers and crafting experiences
  • A sense of teamwork and humility
  • A commitment towards responsibility and transparency

Desirable

  • Experience with various backend languages, such as Python and TypeScript (Node.js), and with frontend technologies such as HTML5 and React
  • Experience with application automation frameworks and technologies across web, Linux, Windows and Android environments
  • Experience applying database technologies, including SQL, MongoDB, etc., and data modeling principles
  • Experience writing concurrent, asynchronous, and parallel applications
  • Experience working with virtualization technologies and at least one of the major cloud stacks (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience building scalable and resilient systems
  • Experience with VNC technologies
  • Experience with real-time communication protocols including WebSocket, WebRTC, etc

What the job involves

  • The cloud team at rabbit builds foundational infrastructure for the Large Action Model (LAM), representing a new class of third-party intermediaries between users and service providers
  • We are pioneering massively-deployable, mature personalized agents, based on a cloud-native architecture that can securely and scalably run any computer application in a virtualized manner
  • LAM-powered agents can easily perform actions in our environments on behalf of the user and reflect the results to the various AI functionalities in rabbit OS in real time
  • This is an exciting and challenging endeavor on multiple fronts: low-latency optimizations for various network traffic taking place on the app and to the user through VNC, observability for LAM decision making and mutation in the apps themselves, and encouraging and producing respectful behaviors and client signatures for the service providers
  • Monitor and maintain the health of our Kubernetes clusters and cloud services
  • Develop the internal framework for creating and managing LAM-powered agents
  • Monitor and optimize key metrics (latency, accuracy, stability) for most frequently used LAM instances
  • Implement and maintain the web presence of rabbit: web portal (rabbit hole), company website, etc
  • Maintain and iterate data collection platform for LAM
  • Collaborate with our applied AI team to integrate various workloads into rabbit OS
  • Collaborate with our device platform team to co-implement and optimize communication protocols between our device and rabbit OS

Our take

Typically, the operating systems used in personal computers are limited in their understanding - relying on commands and unable to make sense of requests made in natural language. Rabbit hopes to change this, with an operating system that is capable of taking natural language requests and returning intelligent responses.

The system, which will sit between a user and any operating system, is powered by a Large Action Model (LAM) that is built to understand human intention. It translates requests into actionable steps for the OS, allowing it to achieve objectives in a more "humanizing" way, and act more like a virtual assistant than a classic operating system.

Existing in an increasingly crowded space, the company will no doubt have to contend with rivals, though the co-founders seem confident that it can stand out because of its "sophisticated" approach. Rabbit has seen good funding, and has many plans on the table including building a testing framework for the model, and releasing dedicated hardware to host its platform.
