Who you are
- Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of zooming in on logistics while zooming out to help shape strategy
- 3+ years of experience in a Chief of Staff, Executive Assistant, or BizOps-type role in a fast-paced startup or high-growth tech/media environment
- Impeccable organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communicator — clear, concise, and confident in both written and verbal formats
- High discretion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence
- Strong judgment and the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative
- Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and Excel
- Based in LA or open to relocating. Travel may be required
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a sharp, strategic, and highly organized Chief of Staff to serve as the right hand to our Chief Business Officer (CBO)
- This is a high-impact hybrid role that blends executive support with operational and strategic execution
- You’ll manage the CBO’s day-to-day workflow—including inbox and calendar oversight—while also driving key projects, aligning cross-functional priorities, and acting as a trusted partner across business initiatives
- This is not a traditional assistant role. You’ll be deeply embedded in the inner workings of the business, helping the CBO operate at peak efficiency, stay ahead of priorities, and move fast on what matters most
- Operate as the CBO’s right hand — helping manage their time, focus, and follow-through across all priorities
- Own and manage the CBO’s inbox — drafting communications, triaging requests, and ensuring responsiveness
- Lead all calendar management, travel coordination, meeting prep, and logistics
- Track and drive strategic priorities, internal initiatives, and external relationships to completion
- Act as a liaison between the CBO and internal/external stakeholders with professionalism and discretion
- Organize and lead operational cadences like OKRs, KPIs, team planning, and internal reporting
- Draft decks, briefs, memos, and high-level communication across functions
- Stay on top of follow-ups, project deadlines, and internal alignment
- Support hiring processes, onboarding, and team operations within the CBO’s org
- Constantly look for ways to streamline workflows, unblock progress, and increase leverage for the CBO
Our take
Traditionally, nearly all media was created and controlled by a few central organizations. Then, the internet came along and platforms like YouTube and Facebook democratized content creation while controlling distribution. Now, with the advent of blockchain technologies, Passes is attempting to decentralize power to the creators themselves.
The company delivers a Web 3.0 platform for creators to scale their content and own their audiences. In theory, this should be a dream for creators and consumers alike. However, so far Web 3.0 platforms have found that in practice it is difficult to onboard users.
Passes must ensure that its platform is easy to use and has competitive capabilities if it is to see good adoption levels. Its acquisition of rival monetization platform Fanhouse was a step in the right direction. And a strong Series A funding round will be used to grow its team and add additional creator revenue streams to the platform.
