Role
Who you are
- 7+ years experience in Marketing
- A well-rounded marketing generalist that has experience driving integrated marketing plans across a breadth of channels, which might include content, organic and paid social, influencer / community networks, email, event marketing, and PR
- Data-driven and excellent at defining, setting, and reporting on full-funnel KPIs
- High creative and editorial standards – you’ll be responsible for managing content marketers / visual designers
- Startup experience and scrappy mindset is a must. You need a self-starter mindset, who is excited to figure things out rather than inheriting a system
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Experience in real estate or financial products is a plus. And if not, the desire to dig in and deeply understand real estate agents and how to get them to trust and understand Homeward enough to try a complex financial product

- We’re looking for a Principal Integrated Marketer to help Homeward build trust and confidence with real estate agents
- This is a player-coach role where you’ll both set the strategy and do a lot of the work yourself. Over time, that ratio will shift as we build out the marketing playbook and team
- Partner with the executive team (specifically, the CEO, Chief Growth Officer, and Chief Sales Officer) to translate business priorities into a clear marketing strategy
- Drive demand generation and integrated marketing efforts across the company. You will be responsible for executing the strategy, defining KPIs, and reporting out on results to the executive team
- Establish a trusted presence across channels where agents are gathering – organic and paid social media, brokerage networks, industry events, etc
- Build and manage a content engine across multiple formats (editorial, video, visual) and asset types (thought leadership, testimonials and social proof, educational webinars)
- Experiment with new growth marketing strategies. For example, we’re interested in testing out an agent ambassador program and targeted paid campaigns to amplify content distribution or re-engage agents who have used it in the past. The marketing strategy will evolve over time as we learn what works and what doesn’t
- Leverage a combination of employees, contractors, and tools to build out a small but effective growth marketing team. We’ll want you to hire an experienced marketing team to provide the leverage needed
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution, comfortably shifting between setting direction and rolling up your sleeves to get the work done
- Create clarity and momentum in ambiguous environments, independently driving initiatives from concept through execution
- Operate with an ownership mindset, holding yourself accountable for business results rather than simply completing marketing activities
- Demonstrate exceptional judgment and ability to make thoughtful tradeoffs. For example, by knowing when speed matters more than perfection—and when precision is critical to the business
- Use customer insights, data, and sound business judgment to make decisions quickly, iterate often, and continuously improve results
- Build collaborative, cross-functional partnerships across executive leadership, Sales, and Product Management
Our take
Sellers historically favour more dependable all-cash purposes, but few are in a position to offer them. Moreover, nobody favours the drawn-out choreography of timing one’s home sale with a new home purchase. Homeward allows customers to make all-cash purchases on new homes through the company, which buys on their behalf and sells to the customer once they’ve closed on their existing home.
By providing a seamless experience under three companies, it is a comprehensive service covering the home-buying process from start to finish. Homeward's solution is elegant, and proving hugely popular - it is currently oversubscribed in markets across the country. It’s a new, innovative development in a legacy industry in dire need of change.
Importantly, Homeward is attractive to investors, and the Austin-based company is no doubt additionally cashing in on the increased VC interest in the growing Texas tech scene. Further, following its success in the Texas, Georgia, and Colorado markets, Homeward is planning to go nationwide with its real estate solution. It has already extended to Florida and Arizona, and looks to conquer more states in the future.
