- CPA and experience at Big 4, preferred

What the job involves
- As a Revenue Accountant at Viz.ai, you will be a key contributor in the Finance team, driving the complete Order-to-Cash (O2C) operational accounting cycle and executing the critical month-end revenue close and reporting process
- This role is central to our financial accuracy, encompassing detailed contract review, precise billing and collections, journal entry management, account reconciliation, and comprehensive variance analysis
- Own the Order-to-Cash (O2C) Cycle: Manage the full O2C process, from approving sales orders and bookings to processing billing, driving collections, and accurately applying cash receipts
- Collections Leadership: Supervise and mentor the AR Specialist, focusing on strategic collections to consistently achieve quarterly collection targets
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Act as the finance liaison, collaborating with Sales, Legal, and Implementation teams to proactively resolve complex contract-related issues impacting revenue recognition and collections
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary financial contact for all internal and external inquiries regarding billing, collections, and contract terms, ensuring professional, accurate, and timely resolution
- Revenue Close & Reporting: Execute key components of the month-end revenue close, including maintaining NetSuite revenue schedules, preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, generating reports, and conducting detailed flux analysis
- Compliance & Technical Review: Ensure strict compliance with sales tax regulations by processing accurate billing updates and rebills, and maintaining exemption certificates. Flag complex or non-standard contractual issues to the Revenue Accounting Manager for technical assessment
- Ad Hoc Projects: Support financial audits and contribute to internal/external reporting and other critical ad hoc finance projects

- Effective Collaboration: You excel at partnering with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Legal, Finance) to quickly and effectively solve complex problems
Our take
In the U.S, strokes are the third leading cause of death killing more than 140,000 people annually. These fatality rates are partially a result of strokes being hard to diagnose, and once they occur it is often too late.
Viz uses artificial intelligence to rapidly identify stroke victims to provide treatment faster, aiming to save lives and the financial costs associated with medical treatment. The company achieves this by using machine learning which is trained to identify anomalies within brain scans that neuroscientists struggle to spot.
With a valuation of over $1 billion, in 2023, Viz secured capital from pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Meyers-Squibbs to develop an AI algorithm and provider workflow focused on detecting hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is part of Viz's objective of branching out from a focus on strokes into new healthcare territory, such as through its 2025 partnership with precision oncology company Guardant Health to combat lung cancer.
