Who you are
- Full-Stack Technical Depth: 8+ years of experience across the stack, with solid production-level capabilities in both frontend and backend. You’re comfortable with modern frameworks, APIs, and databases
- Systems Thinking & Design: You contribute to technical architecture, design scalable systems, and take a long-term view of platform evolution
- Product & Customer Mindset: You seek to understand customer problems, shape solutions that drive value, and proactively improve the user experience

What the job involves
- We’re now looking for a Senior Product Engineer to join our growing Workforce Management team
- In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to own and deliver critical, high-impact features that empower hospitality teams, improve scheduling accuracy, and help restaurants operate efficiently and sustainably
- You’ll work with technologies including: Python, React, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI, AWS (ECS, RDS, SQS), PostgreSQL, Docker
- Our teams are cross-functional with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility for their product
- You will collaborate closely with designers, customer success and other engineers to enhance the product and the system behind it in a tight feedback loop with leadership, production and our customers
- Create sophisticated labour forecasting tools to predict staffing needs. We're using ML/AI to help our customers anticipate demand fluctuations and schedule the right staff, at the right time, always
- Evolve our data model to support complex scheduling patterns, labour rules, and compliance requirements. The workforce management domain covers everything from schedule building to legislative compliance
- Collaborate with our Data team on scheduling AI that balances business needs, employee preferences, and labour laws. We're solving complex optimisation problems to create efficient schedules while prioritising staff wellbeing
- Integrate with payroll and HR systems to create a seamless experience across the employee lifecycle. This involves building robust APIs and data pipelines that securely handle sensitive personnel data

Our take
Nory’s AI and automation software allows restaurants to more easily take control of common pain points like inventory, staffing, and marketing, all on one platform. With thin margins, stretched teams and high levels of waste, Nory was founded by a seasoned restaurant founder and scaler, who knows all too well how juggling "market-leading" systems can become a headache for restaurant managers. Indeed, he even built an early version of Nory for his own restaurant.
What makes Nory a particularly interesting prospect is the value that it can offer multi-site restaurants or chains, given its ability to collect data on each location at once. It melds real-time data with AI predictive analytics so that operators can regain control of their profit. It’s this certainty of purpose and value that’s helped Nory get off to a flying start, securing a rapidly growing customer base including Stonegate Pubs, Dr Juice and Viva Italia.
Having raised a significant amount of capital, most recently in a May 2025 Series B round, Nory has grown its team and expanded from Ireland and the UK into Spain as well. It's using its funding to expand into the US, hire data scientists and accelerate its product development. As the hospitality industry struggles with high costs and low margins, Nory's solution will be increasingly essential for restaurants seeking to optimise their operations and turn a profit.
