Who you are
- 10+ years experience in field sales in the employer's benefits or wellness space
- Established network of professional contacts that can be leveraged to quickly build new pipeline
- Successful sales history and consistent 100% quota attainment for the past 3+ years closing deals valued at $1M+
- Experience selling direct, via channel partners and consultants
- Fluency in relationship-building, particularly with key decision-makers and influencers. Ability to adapt/modulate style according to different settings and personalities
- Excellent poise and presentation skills, strong writing skills
- "Go-getter", driven to work in a growing company and sell a solution that gets quick results and can save lives
- Tenacious in follow-up and able to think out of the box for traditional outreach attempts in order to identify and connect with key decision-makers
- Willingness to travel extensively as needed
What the job involves
- Hello Heart is seeking a Vice President Sales, South East to build and sustain the most complex, and ultimately most valuable prospective client and customer relationships. Our Vice President Sales, South East will be responsible for developing strategic relationships with top benefits executives within employer-sponsored health plans, securing new business through direct contracts and channel sales, as well as working with key strategic partners and benefits consultants.
- Our team members must be willing to wear multiple hats and adapt to different situations as Hello Heart continues to grow and expand throughout the United States. A true consultative approach with prospective clients and their trusted partners is essential to success in this role
- Lead strategic efforts to build and close new business across Large Accounts (3,000-15,000 employees) in the assigned territory of South East, including Texas
- Consistently meet or exceed objectives/quota (annual $3M+)
- Deliver compelling presentations to prospective clients, consultants, partners, and others to make the case for heart health being a top priority
- Always informed of our products and how clients use them to perform sales activities, as well as understanding our roadmap and competitive differentiation
- Take the initiative to bring new ideas and observations to the commercial team, promote partnership and resourcefulness
- Develop and maintain intra-company relationships consistent with our values
- Understand the client’s business strategy, challenges, and opportunities to drive meaningful conversations and values for all stakeholders
- Facilitate a smooth transition from Sales to the Customer Success team and assist with upsell opportunities as they arise

Hello Heart is a medical tech company that helps its users achieve lifestyle changes that will reduce their risk of heart disease, using artificial intelligence, behavioral science, a digital coaching app and connected monitoring tools to achieve this
Hello Heart is offered as a service to individuals via its app and to employers and health insurance who can offer it as a perk to their employees or customers. While other solutions exist, such as a plethora of health-related, gamified apps and coaching services, Hello Heart is somewhat unique with its membership of the American Heart Association's Innovator's Network, giving its solution a great deal of credibility compared to its rivals. Indeed, Hello Heart drives down health care costs by almost $2,000 a year per user, which has led to it being offered as a perk by companies such as Delta Airlines and Northwestern Mutual.
The company has raised a significant amount of funding, most recently in 2022 which saw it closing a Series D round. It is currently focusing on R&D efforts to improve the AI underpinning its technology, allowing it to add new and more thorough health tracking and coaching capabilities. With a popular and effective solution to a growing problem, Hello Heart is well poised to continue its run of success.
