Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of relevant brand or integrated marketing experience
- Experience in building brand / integrated campaigns for consumer apps, from ideation to execution
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic and changing environment
- Experienced in balancing short term tactics with longer term strategic deliverables
- Experience briefing and managing creative production (ideally internal resource and experience in managing external agencies)
- Experience in working cross-functionally (including organic social, influencer, UA, product, creative, comms), managing stakeholders and mobilisising different teams to ensure campaigns are fully integrated and promoted across channels
- Strong understanding of the cultural zeitgeist, female health and well-being brands, market dynamics and core consumer audience. Experience in health or femtech preferred
- Experience working for consumer apps, understanding the importance of marketing to current and new audiences - and building marketing plans that are optimized for an app business
- Experience in marketing planning and budgeting, tracking campaign performance and optimising for success
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Go-getter attitude, self-motivated, optimist
- Strong attention to detail and organised
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in an academic or business specialty
What the job involves
- We are looking for an ambitious, purpose-driven, results-driven Brand Marketing Manager to join the Brand Marketing team as mat cover on a fixed term contract of up to 11 months, with potential to stay on within the company
- You’ll help grow an iconic brand shaping the future of female health through medical credibility, knowledge, and community
- Plan & execute integrated brand campaigns based on business priorities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (across marketing, creative, product marketing, product) to build integrated channel plans
- Apply Flo's core narratives into messaging + creative strategies across key projects & campaigns
- Manage asset production and ensure they're optimised for impact and a joined-up user experience
- Manage the brand marketing & campaign calendar for the year, identifying key moments to activate based on consumer insights, behaviours and trends
- Own the campaign budgets in order to make the biggest impact. Think big brand energy, with no spend wasted
- Measure and report campaign results, feeding insights and learnings into future activity

Flo is an AI powered period tracking app that allows users to access health insights relating to their cycle by inputting experienced symptoms and cycle dates. AI is leveraged to improve the personalised predictions of upcoming symptoms or periods, allowing the platform to help predict irregular periods or highlight fertile periods in your cycle. They state that the app can also flag when symptoms might need medical attention.
What sets Flo apart from its competitors (Clue, Ovia, Glow) is its ability to change from a period tracker to a fertility tracker, and that it can even offer valuable insights postpartum. The app is the number 1 period tracker in the UK and US and the most downloaded female health app worldwide, with over 70 million monthly users. And in the wake of the 2022 Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, Flo has responded to its users' concerns by implementing an anonymous mode to prevent personal details being tied to fertility data.
Historically, it has proved difficult for companies to get funding for products aimed at women. Flo have managed to largely overcome this and secure significant investment in recent funding rounds. This will allow the company to focus on implementing proactive care solutions in the app amongst other developments to evolve the service offered.
