- Graduate degree or relevant experience
- 8+ years in user research, market research, consumer insights, behavioral science, or similar mixed-methods roles
- Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-method studies with high ambiguity and high business stakes
- Have astute business acumen and experience conducting research on B2B/SaaS products and business models
- Are skilled at identifying the most important research topics and articulating the most essential insights, along with their strategic implications
- Demonstrate mixed-methods excellence, including:
- Robust quantitative skills, especially programmatic survey design and data analysis
- Dynamic qualitative methods, ranging across the entire product strategy and development lifecycle
- Have honed exceptional communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment
- Are comfortable influencing senior leaders across Product, Design, Engineering, Data, Marketing, Sales and other cross-functional groups

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Staff Researcher who excels at mixed-methods research grounded in quantitative rigor, capable of independently leading complex, multi-phase research that shapes strategic product and business decisions across Webflow
- You’ll lead multi-quarter research programs that span product areas, turning ambiguous questions into structured learning agendas that produce clear outcomes and guide senior leaders toward high-quality decisions. You’ll also mentor researchers and cross-functional partners, build scalable research systems, and help shape AI-native research practices
- This is a generalist researcher role, but with an expectation that you can design and deploy best-in-class survey methods, and conduct advanced data analysis. You’ll combine quant and qual fluently, knowing when each is appropriate and how to integrate them into cohesive insight narratives

- Lead complex, strategic mixed-methods research
- Own end-to-end, multi-phase research programs addressing ambiguous, high-impact questions across product pillars
- Blend qualitative depth with quantitative rigor to generate foundational insights, evaluate product directions, and de-risk decisions
- Define learning agendas that shape multi-quarter product strategy
- Design advanced quantitative studies
- Lead high-signal, statistically robust survey programs, incorporating advanced design and analysis methods and frameworks (e.g., MaxDiff, choice-based conjoint, pricing studies; market segmentation and clustering; TAM/SAM opportunity sizing)
- Conduct nuanced qualitative research
- Run in-depth interviews, concept tests, cognitive walkthroughs, fieldwork, and generative exploration
- Extract patterns and frameworks that clarify user needs, motivations, and mental models
- Use qual insight to shape survey instruments and interpret quant findings
- Synthesize evidence into strategic insight
- Combine data types — qual, quant, behavioral logs, market research, sales data, etc — into crisp, decision-ready storytelling
- Frame tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities with clarity and foresight
- Influence leadership-level stakeholders through structured insight and principled judgment
- Elevate research systems, standards, and practice
- Create and maintain reusable frameworks, templates, taxonomies, and synthesis structures that scale research quality
- Partner with Research Ops on panel strategy, tooling, governance, and operational excellence
- Improve quant literacy and mixed-methods capability across the team through mentorship and enablement
- Drive AI-native research innovation
- Use AI as a core part of your workflow — not just for acceleration, but to generate new insight
- Design hybrid human-AI workflows that meaningfully transform research throughput, quality, or reach
- Establish validation guardrails and ethical standards for AI-assisted analysis
- Mentor and multiply impact
- Coach more junior researchers in quant, qual, synthesis, storytelling, and methodological rigor
- Guide PMs, Designers, and cross-functional partners in asking better questions and interpreting evidence responsibly
- Model healthy, values-aligned research practices at scale

Our take
No-code development systems allow users to create and publish the kind of output that was once only possible with the help of a team of developers. Webflow is one such platform that allows non-developers to create professional websites without knowing any code. It joins others such as Pantheon, Weebly, Squarespace, and Wix in a hotly-contested low-code development market. While competition is high, so too is demand, with low-code platforms accounting for more than 65% of application development activity in 2024.
The popularity of platforms such as Webflow is perhaps not surprising, as low-code development is usually cheaper for companies to implement and reduces time to market. Webflow has been used by over 3.5 million designers and teams to create sites for companies including enterprise brands such as Dell, Rakuten, UpWork, and Petal. It raised a large amount of funding in a Series C round in 2022. This is being used to further develop its platform, with a longer-term goal of pivoting to providing a no-code tool not only for websites, but software development as well.
