Role
Who you are
- Qualifications: Graduate Qualified Chartered or Management Accountant, ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified, or equivalent financial qualification or training programme
- Experience: Experience in accounting and finance, and investment related experience or alternatively strong interest in investment; or experience in investment banking looking to complement their background by pursuing an accounting qualification
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial modelling
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial data and draw insightful conclusions
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively present financial information to stakeholders
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
What the job involves
- A principal part of your role is to perform financial analysis and support to the finance team in the area of investment management both equity and non-dilutive sources
- This is an exciting aspect of the role and encompasses the whole of the investment lifecycle, from identifying potential sources of finance through the investment process to the closing of investments and investor relations thereafter
- The second wing of this role is to support and report to the Financial Controller in all aspects of the company's financial operations - playing an important role in handling cash flow, accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and governance, providing financial insights to leadership, and strengthening the company's financial health while navigating the dynamic environment of a growing pre revenue innovator

Our take
It is generally accepted that we are in the height of a climate crisis, and large foundational changes need to be made to our everyday systems in order for us to mitigate the impact of this. This is what RheEnergise believes it can contribute to with its energy storage solution, known as High-Density Hydro.
While hydro storage solutions do exist widely today, RheEnergise's systems can be put into smaller hills rather than large mountains, as the fluid it uses is 2.5x denser than water meaning it can carry 2.5x more energy, making it more widely applicable. The company also takes pride in the fact that HD Hydro is a much more cost-effective energy storage solution, offering the greatest flexibility to the power grid.
RheEnergise is in a market where the scale of opportunity is growing massively - BloombergNEF predicted the energy storage market to be worth $620B by 2040, whilst Wood Mackenzie forecast a need for 1TWh of energy storage by 2030. The company has already done an extensive survey as to where its product could be implemented, and with little direct competition and encouraging funding from the likes of the Low Carbon Innovation Fund, it’ll be exciting to see what it does next.
