Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business analytics, actuarial science or a similar role
- Strong proficiency with SQL and experience in building and optimizing data models for business reporting
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Windmill, dbt)
- Expertise with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python or R is a big plus
- Knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Omni, Tableau, Looker) and how they interact with underlying data models
- Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex data problems
- Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills and experience working with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
What the job involves
- As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you will play a critical role in our data-driven decision-making process, connecting data engineering and analytics.
- You’ll ensure data is high quality, accessible, and ready for analysis while designing, building, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure.
- You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and product managers to ensure insights are delivered efficiently.
- This is a hands-on technical position with opportunities to influence our data strategy and architecture, ensuring we extract the full value of our data to inform key business decisions
- Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines to ensure the efficient flow and accessibility of data across teams
- Design, develop and optimize data models to support business analytics, reporting, and decision-making
- Partner with data scientists, analysts, product managers and engineers to ensure alignment between business goals and data initiatives
- Create and maintain documentation for the data infrastructure, models, and processes
- Work on improving data quality, accessibility, automation and observability within the data ecosystem
- Lead initiatives to integrate new data sources and optimize existing ones
- Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices for data engineering and analytics
