Who you are
- We are seeking a dynamic, creative, strategic-minded leader for our Product Marketing team
- 10+ years in enterprise product marketing spanning software and SaaS models
- Experience marketing technology products to large or mid-market buyers
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to articulate a product vision and messages, especially translating complex concepts into clear, compelling language (please feel free to share technical content and product collateral in advance; work samples will be requested)
- Strong business acumen and analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to draw conclusions based on data
- Detail and results-oriented; skilled at both planning and hands-on execution
- Ability to excel in a team-oriented, collaborative, and fast-paced environment
What the job involves
- As the Head of Product Marketing, you will be responsible for the global product marketing activities for Contrast Security’s innovative application security solutions
- This highly visible role interfaces across product, sales, corporate marketing, and customer success to achieve success
- You are responsible for defining the product and feature positioning, messaging go-to-market plan, and success metrics
- You will craft the messaging for solutions to protect applications from hackers and data breaches
- You'll conceive and develop content that helps communicate our value to customers and enables our sales organization to effectively educate our prospects on our products and vision
- Attention to detail and an eye for quality are crucial, along with the ability to grasp and translate highly technical feature sets into business value propositions
- It also requires you to be a strategic thinker and business savvy to drive segment opportunities
- As Head of Product Marketing, you will be the expert on our buyer and influencer personas and translate that knowledge into compelling content and sales tools
- Lead overall product and solutions messaging and product launch management
- Own the go-to-market strategy, process, and enablementDefine our positioning and messaging – translate features and functionality into customer benefits
- Develop sales enablement programs, presentations, and tools to communicate intended value propositions that help us win
- Product content – Author informative, persuasive content for delivery through multiple channels
- Partner with Corporate Marketing to create compelling marketing materials and messages that span digital & print to communicate effectively, expand pipeline & drive awareness in the market
- Lead Product launches – Plan the launch of new product releases and measure success
- Public speaking – Present to audiences at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings
- Build data-backed measurable KPIs for all activities
- Inspire action through data-driven insights and execute with operational rigor and efficiency
Our take
As cyberattackers become more sophisticated, security software needs to do the same to protect an organization's technological infrastructure. But rather than having security software that performs disruptive scanning or specialized security experts, it is better for software applications to protect themselves. Less holes can be exploited if attack prevention features are fully integrated.
Contrast Security is a software security platform pioneering a new era of self-protecting software. The company claims that only its software contains sensors that are embedded within applications to uncover vulnerabilities, prevent data breaches, and secure the entire enterprise. This enables teams to accelerate development cycles at scale.
However, the reality of cybersecurity is that there is no silver bullet. Thus, despite demonstrating unique and impressive value, Contrast will always be fighting for dollars with competitors like Veracode.
