Role
Who you are
- Experience in outbound sales, business development, or partner management—ideally in proptech or related industry
- A competitive mindset and a track record of hitting targets
- Comfortable making lots of calls, hearing “no,” and going back for the “yes.”
- You take ownership, work at pace, and know how to close
- Someone who owns their pipeline and can manage multiple accounts with structure and focus
- Strong communicator who can adapt your message and build trust quickly
- You’re curious, coachable, and always hungry to improve
- Bonus if you’ve worked in property, proptech, or a startup before—but mindset matters more than background
- This role requires some travel and a valid driver's licence is therefore required
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a commercially-minded, target-driven Business Development Manager to re-engage these partners, build relationships, and grow our revenue
- You'll reach out to warm contacts, reintroduce flatfair, and help agents increase plan sales to tenants
- This is a high-activity, sales-focused role
- You’ll have the freedom to test your approach, the support of a collaborative team, and the opportunity to make a clear, measurable impact
- Proactively re-engaging underperforming partner accounts and driving them back into action
- Running high-volume outreach—calls, emails, follow-ups—with tenacity and energy
- Selling the benefits of flatfair clearly and confidently to a variety of agent contacts
- Delivering remote training that empowers agent teams to promote and convert effectively
- Handling objections with empathy, logic, and commercial focus
- Tracking your sales pipeline, activity and revenue in our CRM
- Sharing insights to help the team improve our pitch and grow more accounts
Salary benchmarks
Our take
The average rental deposit in the UK is over £1000, an amount that many tenants struggle to pay when moving home. Flatfair's answer to this is offering a non-refundable membership-fee equal to one-quarter the cost of a rental deposit, meaning renters don't have to take on credit card debt or borrow from family and friends to fund a deposit.
Other companies such as Goodlord and Movebubble have also tried to disrupt rentals, but it remains a hard space to crack. That said, Flatfair's approach, in which it becomes pivotal to both landlords and tenants, puts the company in a smart position to streamline processes and improve the experience, and certainly makes it an intriguing prospect in the space.
