- As a Product Marketing intern supporting Dropbox Dash, you'll work on exciting, high-impact projects related to AI, productivity, and collaboration
- You’ll support go-to-market (GTM) efforts, develop market insights, assist with positioning and messaging, and collaborate across teams to bring a category-defining AI product to market
- This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a 0-to-1 product and help shape its future
- Work directly with a cross-functional team to influence the development and launch of a new product
- Build valuable skills in market research, competitive analysis, messaging, and GTM strategy and execution
- Gain exposure to senior leadership and contribute to strategic product marketing initiatives
- Play a key role in launching a high-priority product in the rapidly evolving AI space
- Assist in collecting and analyzing market trends, competitor strategies, and product positioning
- Synthesize competitive insights into actionable recommendations for the team
- Help research AI and productivity trends that can influence Dropbox Dash’s positioning
- Collaborate with teams to understand the market landscape and identify opportunities for product differentiation
- Contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies and ensure messaging aligns with Dropbox Dash’s core value propositions
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product, sales, and leadership to share insights and align on key initiatives
- Support the development of sales enablement materials, including product sheets and battlecards
- Help develop content that communicates the value of Dropbox Dash, including white papers, customer case studies, and product demos
- Assist in crafting key messaging for product launches and marketing campaigns
- Support the creation of integrated campaign assets including events, social media, and content marketing, ensuring materials accurately represent Dropbox Dash
- Support the creation of sales enablement assets like pitch decks, FAQs, and competitive analyses to empower the sales team
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure field teams have the latest product insights
Our take
Dropbox started by helping people bring together their files in one central place. The contents of these folders are synchronised to Dropbox's servers along with other computers and devices where the user has installed Dropbox, keeping the same files up-to-date across all devices.
Nowadays, there are lots of competing companies in cloud storage, and some with better distribution (e.g. Google and Apple). This explains why Dropbox is making a big push to reinvent itself after a fairly disappointing run since its IPO in 2018. The new Dropbox turns folders into "Spaces", which are collaboration hubs for teams, complete with comment streams, artificial intelligence tools and integrations into services such as Slack.
The company continues to build out its offerings through acquisitions, such as that of Formswift, bolstering its end-to-end agreement workflow capabilities. Indeed, It's very clear that Dropbox is trying to make a big move from being just a storage company. This seems to be a necessary move given the competitive nature of the industry it is operating within.
