Research Analyst, StuRents

• You're not just highly numerate, you also have bags of experience in using Excel to run analysis (Vlookups, Sumifs), to create engaging insights
• You are comfortable with writing about complex topics/subject matter in a concise and friendly, and accessible way - it’s important that our customers can look at your data reports and understand them straight away (without confusing them)
• You bring an innate high attention to detail and can write skillfully, with clarity about sector trends
• You have a naturally analytical mind and enjoy exploring data, asking thoughtful questions, challenging (and have challenged) the status quo in your analysis by working collaboratively to improve an approach. You're an innately structured thinker and doer, transferring this structure to your communication style too, helping others understand your findings with ease
• You’re naturally curious, self-motivated, and excited about finding unique stories in the data to help customers make confident, informed decisions
• You’re an independent problem-solver with a collaborative mindset, work well without constant direction, a keen multitasker with a knack for balancing your priorities while staying organised, efficient and effective

Desirable

• You’ll work with the Head of Research and the wider research team to support the continued growth of the company by providing analysis to clients and by developing further datasets
• You'll work collaboratively closely with the research team to help fulfil ad-hoc customer requests in both written form and as part of engaging data packs, typically in Excel
• You'll be involved in a number of initiatives, including but not limited to: helping create our quarterly market reports, monthly research newsletter, market blogs, and wider research content to help promote our services
• Your additional day-to-day tasks will include maintaining and expanding/enhancing existing databases and proactively looking at ways to expand and develop our product capabilities in response to the needs of our customers

• 30 min informal chat with Richard (Head of research) or David (Research analyst) on the phone
• 1st round you will be sent a short case study to analyse some data. If successful, you’ll progress to a 2nd round in-person interview
• 2nd round interview with Richard and Tom (co-founder) to present your case study findings. We will share more about the role and company and learn a little more about you (~60 mins, in person)
• Final interview with Richard, Andrea (our people person) to chat about your experience and culture contribution (~60 mins, in person)
