Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in technical recruiting in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience hiring outside of the US, including Asia and EMEA
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and hiring top-tier software engineers and other technical professionals
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, embedded systems, cloud technologies, and related fields
- Proficiency in using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing tools
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Greenhouse is a plus
- Experience working with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work from our Sunnyvale HQ 3 days a week
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Technical Recruiter to join our growing team
- As a key member of our talent acquisition function, you will play a critical role in attracting, engaging, and hiring top-tier global engineering talent to support our ambitious growth plans
- You will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding, with a focus on building strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers across all our global offices
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle for technical roles, including software engineers, embedded systems engineers, cloud engineers, and related positions globally
- Sourcing & Candidate Engagement: Proactively source and identify qualified candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, industry events, online job boards, and networking
- Talent Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings
- Screening & Assessment: Conduct thorough candidate screenings, interviews, and technical assessments to evaluate skills, experience, and cultural fit
- Hiring Manager Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and provide regular updates on candidate progress
- Offer Management: Manage the offer process, including negotiating compensation packages and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience
- Data & Reporting: Track and analyze recruitment metrics to identify areas for improvement and provide insights to the team
- Employer Branding: Contribute to employer branding initiatives to enhance Sonatus's reputation as an employer of choice in the automotive technology industry
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform recruitment strategies
- ATS Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in Greenhouse (our ATS)
- Maintain compliance with all applicable recruiting laws and regulations
Our take
Software-defined vehicles represent the biggest innovation in automobiles for decades, but there are large obstacles in the way of their growth. The software that defines such vehicles requires over-the-air (OTA) updates and other forms of maintenance, which can quickly become a time-consuming and resource-intensive process.
Sonatus develops cloud-based solutions for software-defined vehicles, providing a platform called Digital Dynamics that empowers automakers to harness vehicle data, add feature updates, diagnose problems, and maintain vehicle infrastructure wirelessly and in real time. The company achieves its flexibility through cloud-empowered data infrastructure, no-code software solutions, and working closely with clients.
Whilst the company faces competition from other IoT vehicle software companies, Sonatus shows great potential to compete through its all-in-one approach. This has earned it impressive funding, which supports further development and the increase of production volume, as well as the company's expansion into the Japanese market.
