Our take

Whilst many analytics companies in its industry made the switch to energy and renewable analytics in the last decade, Ascend Analytics has been at it for 20+ years, giving them the edge over the competition. The software and consulting company has been providing solutions for the power transition to renewables since 2002, and is a seasoned partner to more than 100 energy companies in North America and Europe.

The background of Ascend Analytics’ founders is complementary to its mission as well, proving its dedication to the union of technology and sustainability. With academic research, software development, and even wildfire rescue training under their combined belts, the founding trio is a solid foundation for a company with lofty targets.

Ascend Analytics was bootstrapped from birth until growth equity capital was raised in 2024 to accelerate product innovation. With this new capital, the company can continue to be an important player in the move to Net Zero for years to come—as long as its clients continue to make the necessary commitments.
