Role
Who you are
- 🍐 Experience working in an accounts payable, accounts receivable or wider finance function
- 🍐 A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial practices
- 🍐 Excellent numerical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- 🍐 Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- 🍐 Experience using accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills
- 🍐 Good written and verbal communication skills
- 🍐 Studying towards an AAT, ACCA or CIMA qualification would be an advantage, but isn't essential
- 🍐 A proactive, flexible approach and a willingness to learn
- 🍊 A team player who enjoys collaborating with others and building positive working relationships
- 🍊 Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to solving problems
- 🍊 Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment
- 🍊 Keen to learn, develop and contribute to a purpose-led business making a positive impact
What the job involves
- Duration: 6-month fixed-term contract
- As our Finance Assistant, you'll play an important role in keeping our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly
- Supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable, you'll work closely with the wider finance team to ensure transactions are processed accurately, records are maintained and colleagues receive great support
- This is a varied, hands-on role that would suit someone with experience in a finance or accounts function who enjoys working with detail, building great working relationships and continuously improving the way things are done

- 🍎 Assisting with day-to-day financial operations, including invoice processing and bank reconciliations
- 🍎 Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- 🍎 Maintaining accurate financial records and data across our finance systems
- 🍎 Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and supporting analysis where required
- 🍎 Working with the finance team to improve financial processes and controls
- 🍎 Responding promptly to finance queries from colleagues and supporting stakeholders across the business
