Who you are
- Technical knowledge is critical but we are a startup treading in uncharted territory so attitude is even more important. We’re looking for people that like uncertainty and want to figure out how to do things that haven’t been done before.

- You will have a passion for Web3 technologies including NFTs and all things blockchain
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in backend teams primarily using primarily Rust and Solidity, Node/Node.js, TS & JS in a full stack environment
- Fluency in Rust and Solidity or other similar smart contract languages
- 2+ years of experience in blockchain development
- Practical experience deploying smart contracts on the mainnets of major blockchains
- Contribution to a crypto project with a substantial token market cap a plus
- Experience utilising all the latest CI/CD, APIs, Security, Collaborative IDEs on public cloud platforms
- Experience in containers, deployment pipelines, A/B testing, Blue/Green principles to prove what you’ve built
- A passion for automation and defining everything via CaC to drive platform consistency
- Ability to troubleshoot and investigate complex issues across systems
- Desire to build, maintain and improve anything you work on with a high level of ownership

What the job involves
- You will help build and architect the foundation of the Helio software platform which all other systems will flow from and interact with. You will use all your previous experiences, skills and initiative to get things right from inception - which is to a naturally high standard of code, logic and engineering prowess in general
- We want to build a platform that is led by engineering excellence paired with pragmatic approaches to solving problems and delivering financial grade quality throughout our products and services

Our take
Web 3.0 technology has the potential to transform the way payments are made, by allowing money to be exchanged without intermediaries – simply, quickly, and anonymously – but it remains a confusing and fringe notion for most. Helio is building a platform to bring Web 3.0 to the forefront of online payment, with the ultimate goal of driving payment costs to zero.
Helio, built by an experienced team and launched in 2022, was created to tackle the archaic and expensive payments market which the company says is built on a flawed incentive structure. It can be embedded into websites or apps by using its API and libraries but, importantly, it can also be used to make no-code Web 3.0 payments, by users connecting their Solana wallet. Transactions are low cost, operate at Visa-scale speed, and are carbon neutral.
Since its launch, Helio has been tested by thousands of projects and users, and processes close to a million dollars in transactions weekly. The company is investing in growing its sales and marketing teams in an effort to expand its partnerships with other platforms and marketplaces.
