Role
Who you are
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of professional development experience with a focus on TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Real-time communication / collaboration feature development: Recent professional development experience with WebSocket or Socket.IO for real-time collaboration tools. Experience with CRDT or Yjs a plus
- Testing: Strong proficiency with unit, integration and E2E testing
- ORM & SQL: Experience writing raw SQL, familiarity with ORM tools a plus
- Cloud: Knowledge of AWS, familiarity with static hosting platforms such as Vercel a plus
- CI/CD: Understanding of Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery processes
What the job involves
- As part of a cross-functional team including product managers, developers, designers and a founding team, you will create and develop an amazing product that you will be proud of
- The Collaboration team at Kittl enhances the platform by integrating multi-user collaboration features, allowing projects to be shared and worked on simultaneously
- Develop real-time collaboration features: Some features you'll create are managing team accounts, co-editing, commenting & sharing, role-based permissions, brand kit, integrations, as well as project history
- Produce high-quality results: You'll lead and contribute heavily to large cross-functional projects (both frontend and backend) that have a significant impact on the business
- Resolve production issues: You'll assist our skilled support team and operations team in triaging production issues
- Improve engineering standards: You'll improve tooling and processes

However, whilst these templates have allowed many lower-budget businesses to create a digital image, it has also made it difficult for them to appear unique online. Kittl supplies a design platform for companies to create effective and individual graphics online, easily, and without the need for design expertise.
Kittl was founded in 2020 to combat the “cookie cutter” digital image landscape brought about by the rise in templates. Its platform allows clients to make detailed and unique logos without design training; with tools including text shading and text decoration, libraries of images and ornaments, and much more. On top of this, the company provides tutorials and inspiration for customers to make the most of what it provides.
Early Kittl clients include the likes of Warner Bros, Netflix, and German publisher Hubert Burda Media. The company has secured significant funding, the latest of which is cited to help grow its team and develop better tools for its users to unlock their creativity, as it further establishes itself and attracts new customers.
