Who you are
- You have experience in SEO, content management, UX best practices, to increase conversion, organic traffic and overall website visibility
- Proficient with HTML, CSS and web design
- Project management experience
- Knowledge of UX, web content strategy & governance
- Understanding of SEO, especially technical best practices
- Conversion rate optimization and A/B testing experience
- Proficiency in Webflow, Wordpress, and Hubspot
- Experience creating requirements documentation
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data to provide recommendations
- Experience with GA4, Looker, and other reporting tools
- Familiarity with WCAG/Digital Accessibility practices
- Experience overseeing user experience, including site navigation/IA, page templates, search, customer journey
- 7+ years of related experience
What the job involves
- The Retailer Growth team is looking for an experienced Principal UX Designer to oversee the “Business” sections of the website
- In this role reporting to the Head of Digital, you will partner with our consumer, brand, content marketing, product marketing, and product teams to ensure that the website reflects Upside’s’ brand
- Plan and implement web-based marketing strategies and campaigns via our website(s)
- Collaborate with designers and developers to maintain website aesthetics, functionality, and user interface
- Draft, implements, maintains, and revises online marketing campaigns to increase sales and revenue
- Coordinate with other marketing team members to ensure active campaigns are represented on the website(s)
- Collaborate with our SEO agency and content team to monitor and improve search engine optimization (SEO) results for our site(s) to improve organic traffic and website visibility
- Maintain current knowledge of trends, best practices, and new developments in online B2B marketing technologies
- Create and update website content including text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements, ensuring accuracy and relevance
- Track website performance metrics like traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates to identify areas for improvement
- Analyze user feedback and implement changes to improve website navigation and usability
- Develop A/B testing strategies to understand what type of content, visuals, and images perform best for conversion

Loyalty systems, vouchers, and other special offers have a proven track record at winning over new customers for businesses. However customers can be reluctant to sign up due to the sheer number of these schemes. Upside exists to unify these loyalty schemes with a single flexible reward app.
While retail reward platforms are nothing new, Upside functions more like a marketplace, linking participating businesses to potential customers. It also rewards customers with cash back on eligible purchases, a more flexible reward than is traditional in loyalty schemes. With over 50,000 businesses enrolled and 30 million app users, Upside has grown into a major player in this sector.
Having secured investments in a 2022 round of equity funding, Upside expanded into mobile payments, growing its value to over $1.5 billion. Upside is moving to scale its operations by hiring additional talent and forming new partnerships with brands and businesses.
