Role
Who you are
- To join CarbonChain, you’ll need a proven career path in Product Design with a focus on technology for good, ideally within the environmental space
- This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys solving real user problems, and is passionate about the craft of product design
- 3-5+ years of experience in Product Design, ideally within tech or related industries
- Startup/scaleup experience with a strong sense of urgency and ownership of deliverables
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
- Comfort working with design systems and contributing to design libraries
- Basic understanding of front-end development (Angular/Typescript/JavaScript etc) is a plus
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end product design process across multiple platforms (web, mobile, etc.)

- Banks, traders, and manufacturers use our product to tame the complexity of international supply networks, identify the most carbon-intensive parts, and find greener alternatives
- Having developed technology which is significantly ahead of competitive solutions, we are now investing heavily in market adoption
- Our company is made up of passionate people with expertise ranging from oil refining to deep learning
- Between us we’ve run Amazon’s European supply chain, built JustEat’s corporate meal delivery platform, and monitored industrial emissions with satellites inall corners of the globe
- We’ve got MBAs and PhDs but we know that there’s a lot wedon’t know, and we’re hoping you can help fill that gap
- You’ll work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to translate complex problems into elegant, user-centered solutions
- Whether refining an existing feature or designing something entirely new, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products not only look great but are also functional, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business goals

One of the main issues faced by these companies is the lack of technology available to track emissions and monitor progress after adopting solutions to diminish climate impact. CarbonChain aims to solve this problem by offering a service that provides accurate accounting for a company’s carbon footprint.
The company differentiates itself through the fact that it aims to help companies from the world's most polluting industries - oil & gas, mining, metals, minerals, and agriculture - which account for 50% of global greenhouse gas emissions. The innovation of CarbonChain comes from the fact that the company has created digital twins of every piece of equipment used in the aforementioned industries; if it cannot find information about the equipment used by a company, it is able to find answers by contacting the producer of that equipment directly.
Founded by ex-employees of gas, mining and oil industries, CarbonChain is led by an expert team. Having established its current services, future phases include features that will allow customers to access their ratings based on industry benchmarks and reported data. The company will also take into consideration customers' future carbon plans to ascertain a more comprehensive picture.
