Role
Who you are
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
- Experience leading or mentoring junior team members
- Strong technical knowledge of management accounting and financial control
- Diligent and process-driven: you're highly organised with a strong sense of ownership. You plan ahead, prioritise effectively, and have high standards for timeliness and accuracy, with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, adaptable, and with a growth mindset: you’re self-motivated, and are comfortable managing competing deadlines in a growing business. You seek to continuously improve & learn, and expect increased responsibilities over time
- Team player: you work well in a team, have a positive problem-solving attitude, and have excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)

Desirable
- Audit experience at manufacturing or recruitment business
- Worked with high-growth SME clients (professional services, consulting, recruitment, manufacturing, tech)
- Used cloud-based accounting systems (Sage / Xero, Payfit)
- Worked with databases (eg Airtable)
- Strong knowledge of UK Payroll
What the job involves
- Accounting: Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accurate journal entries (in Xero)
- Accounting: Support the timely and accurate delivery of month-end and year-end processes including accruals and reconciliations
- Accounting: Ensure robust controls are in place, such that the company is ready for audit
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and complete tax filings
- Payroll: Manage UK payroll (in BambooHR & PayFit)
- Payroll: Calculate monthly/quarterly sales commissions
- Team: Manage an offshore accounts assistant currently providing support on AP, AR, and Credit Control
- Team: Liaise with clients/suppliers regarding finance queries
- Team: Be the go-to person in Finance for general queries from our trainees, consultants and HQ team.
