Who you are
- This critical role requires a creative, results-oriented, energetic sales professional with a passion for the job and the skills to deliver legendary results and scale the business
- 5+ years of senior sales management experience with a demonstrable success selling SaaS solutions and meeting growth targets. VP of Sales title will work for those already holding the title in another role
- Candidates will have prior experience selling research offerings into customer, product, and insights departments within the Fortune 1000, ideally SaaS based solutions
- History in recruiting, managing and leading high-performing enterprise software sales organizations of at least $10M in revenue
- Passion for digital marketing, enterprise software, and technology in general
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including superb written and oral communication skills
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Initiative-taking, with a passion for success and consultation-led sales
What the job involves
- Fuel Cycle is currently seeking a Vice President of Sales, who will report to our Chief Revenue Officer, while overseeing new revenue generating activities and operations
- Lead new revenue generation strategy, organization and operating plan for an innovative online community platform and new products as released
- Build and oversee sales team to effectively achieve revenue targets in enterprise and mid-market segments
- Ensure optimal sales performance through training, mentorship, and motivation, creating a culture where everyone is accountable to results
- Promote and maintain a culture where skills development, coaching, building team knowledge and measurement of results. Lead with a servant and transparent leadership style
- As a leader, you prioritize the needs of their team and organization and focus on team growth and well-being. You enjoy coaching and prioritize this as part of your leadership of the team
- You are also a conduit to understand obstacles to the team, barriers that can be removed, and share the feedback of our buyers effectively with sales, marketing and executive leadership
- Drive productivity and efficiency through scalable go-to-marketing practices within the sales teams within the organization such as dedicated sales campaigns
- Assess and intimately understand the use of best practices throughout the customer’s journey by individual
- Partner closely with Marketing to establish and execute on shared goals and ensure full-funnel effectiveness
- Forecast revenue projections with a high degree of accuracy based on sales team performance, productivity, and weekly deal reviews
