Role
Who you are
- Strong technical background with the ability to prototype, review code, and understand APIs or system architecture
- Experience as a Product Manager, Tech Lead, or Technical Program Manager within a fast-paced engineering environment
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage large projects and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Prior hands-on experience in software engineering a strong plus
- Bachelorâs or higher in Computer Science or similar field
- 3+ years technical product management or tech lead experience
- Demonstrated success driving product from concept through launch in a technical environment
- Good to have: experience working in health tech or at an early stage startup
- Proficient in at least one of: Ruby on Rails, Go, PHP, Javascript or other server side language
What the job involves
- Recora is seeking a talented individual with technical experience, deep curiosity and a strong desire to grow
- You'll partner with the Head of Engineering, Head of Clinical Operations, Head of Product and other domain experts to create groundbreaking technology and infrastructure to power better cardiac care and heart health for thousands of members, overseeing complex, multi-team projects while driving technical development and stakeholder alignment
- The role requires both technical fluency (capable of prototyping, technical designs, and writing engineering tickets) and product ownership (requirement gathering, roadmapping, stakeholder management)
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technical products and features, managing multiple projects in parallel
- Gather requirements from stakeholdersâincluding business, design, and engineeringâtranslating needs into actionable technical specifications and Jira tickets
- Own product vision and roadmaps, partnering with engineering leadership to drive delivery and unblock the team
- Prototype features and solutions where needed, ensuring product feasibility and fast experimentation
- Bridge the gap between high-level business needs and deep technical execution
- Facilitate agile processes and project tracking, ensuring on-time delivery and effective collaboration
- Oversee product QA, release processes, and technical documentation
Our take
Cardiac rehabilitation has notoriously low participation rates, contributing to the re-hospitalization of nearly 50% of patients in the six months following a cardiac event. Recora is looking to improve this, by taking advantage of the home telehealth boom. Through the service, patients receive an exercise kit, tablet, and remote access to resources like training videos, consultations, and support groups so they can monitor and carry out their rehab from home.
The company is reporting remarkable numbers as a result: its program completion rates, for example, are nearly 90% compared to the 26% national average - and only around one in ten patients go on to be readmitted. These numbers will be crucial to help fuel Recoraâs uptake by healthcare facilities across the US.
With heart disease management a nearly $230 billion issue in the US, it is no surprise that Recora has a number of rivals in companies such as Story Health, Moving Analytics and Carda. Recoraâs home offering is more comprehensive, for now, but the company will need to take advantage of this lead while it has it. A long list of notable partnerships are a sure-fire start in this regard.
