Role
Who you are
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, accounting or a related area, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in Software/SaaS or Financial Tech sales with a successful track record of consistent quota achievement
- Previous experience selling to C Suite - Emerging Technologies, Digital Economy and Global Organizations strongly preferred
- Problem solving capabilities, highly organized, and detail-oriented, strong time-management skills
- Proactive, self-starting individual who can identify opportunities and run and close them
- Demonstrated ability to sell complex and large scale solutions and achieve sales revenue targets through increased adoption and expanded use of technology in existing customer base
- Skilled at fostering and leveraging strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams to develop and execute customer success strategies
- Driven to achieve aggressive goals combined with equal passion for customer success
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key client
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Strategic Account Manager to further develop our relationships with existing customers
- The Strategic Sales Account Manager will focus on prospecting into high value accounts both within our existing customer base and some net new to uncover pipeline, drive sales cycles and close business
- The Senior Strategic Account Manager will engage with Tipalti’s core, strategic accounts and develop, own and execute against success plans. They will work closely with internal teams such as Solution Consultants, Customer Success, Implementation, Operations, Product to help ensure overall expansion
- In addition this role will require the individual to work on special ad hoc projects related to company goals and revenue enhancement
- As a Senior member of the team you will also be asked to mentor and assist junior members to help maximize their development and growth
- Own relationships with named accounts to develop and implement plans geared at both maximizing expansion opportunities across all Tipalti products and ensuring high bar of customer success and loyalty
- Accurately maintain account and opportunity information within our internal CRM systems
- Effectively leverage systems and tools to engage with customers, manage pipeline, track deal progress, etc and use data to inform and enable effective decisions
- Align with multiple stakeholders in your accounts and work strategically to understand the customer’s business and align to their business goals
- Identify business challenges and create solutions using Tipalti services
- Map the client account and build deep trusting relationships with cross-functional decision makers and executives to ensure they are appropriately engaged
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to develop and execute effective sales strategies
- Continually identify and communicate customer knowledge gaps and opportunities for Tipalti products and services
- Eventually grow into leadership role on the team where you can be accounted on to assist both other reps and Management in critical deals and projects
