- +3 years experience in B2B Account Management with at least 2 years hands-on partnerships or account management experience working with enterprise merchants and/or financial institutions
- Demonstrable experience and knowledge of working to enable payments acceptance for clients across UK/ EU
- Track record of top commercial performance in a Payments business with proven ability to grow revenue share
- Operationally focused, with an ability to methodically grow a live account, coordinating internal teams using planning, metrics, and organizational structures
- Evidence of expertise in CSM (customer success management) with a metric driven, rigorous and programmatic framework approach
- Excellent negotiation skills to drive commercial value in upsell and cross sell scenarios and contract renewals
- Evidence of taking ownership for client issues and working across multiple teams to create a successful resolution
- Strong decision maker, able to prioritize through competing demands and complex problems
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including compliance, legal, solutions delivery, treasury, and finance
- Driven, flexible, self-motivated, go-getter, able to accept change and with the ability to work at pace in a rapidly growing and changing environment
- Analytical ability to manage complex reporting, pricing, and cost considerations
- Must be fluent in French and English languages.
What the job involves
- Reporting to the SVP of Account Management Europe, the Account Manager will be focused on scaling our relationships with our existing large clients including merchants, PSPs, MTO's, wallets & fintechs
- You will be responsible for forming deep relationships with these key accounts in Europe
- You will be their trusted advisor for our products and services. Leveraging this relationship, you will provide a world-class customer experience for your accounts, driving revenue growth through cross and upsell opportunities
- Act as trusted partner to your clients ensuring account retention, contractual health, performance and maximum satisfaction of clients
- Develop account plans and strategies and execute on them to increase revenue and market share
- Continually drive revenue within accounts through cross and up sell opportunities
- Ensure best-in-class, methodical partner management rooted in KPIs
- Be an advocate for their business, help Thunes to understand their demands/needs where necessary
- Work closely with multiple internal functions (e.g. product, sales, compliance, solution delivery and operations) to improve our product and service
- Ensure excellent communication and internal coordination to roll-out new services taking into factors of market specificity (regulation, competition etc.),
- Full ownership of customer requests, exploring new opportunities to add value
- Ensure all specific reports and records are completed within timeframe, including utilization of CRM tool
- Provide timely feedback to leadership about performance, sales activity, account management status and ongoing strategy
- Initiate and maintain strong working relationship with colleagues and customers to ease communication channels and facilitate resolutions for issues

Thunes allows businesses to process payments anywhere in the world, improving their revenue. The company has managed to differentiate itself from traditional payment platforms thanks to their flexibility, transparency and low cost. They have also avoided competing with payment giants such as PayPal, who they now number as a customer. Other clients include Uber, Deliveroo and Grab.
In 2023 Thunes opened offices in Beijing after entering the Chinese market in 2021. This coincides with $60 million in Series C funding that is going towards the expansion of Thunes into new markets via cross-border payments which, alongside China, include Latin America and the Middle East. This indicates a strengthened global reach for Thunes.
