Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will bring deep mobile app experience, ideally from a subscription-based business, with a strong track record of driving results through paid social
- Loves seeing their optimisations pay off and watching their campaigns grow in efficiency & scale
- Loves experimenting with ad copy, landing pages, bid strategies and creative assets
- Loves using data to uncover insights, optimise campaigns, and refine strategies
- Loves collaborating with cross-functional teams: creative, product or engineering
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing paid social channels
- Experience working for a mobile subscription app or performance-driven business
- Experience managing seven-figure monthly budgets at target CACs
- Strong understanding of incrementality measurement (conversion lift)
- Expert in the Meta ads ecosystem (AEO, AEM, Advantage+, CBO)
- Familiar with Meta iOS, Android, Web and Web2App campaigns
- Proficiency with AppsFlyer (or another MMP)
- Analytical mindset with a strong focus on CAC, ROAS, LTV, and subscriber growth
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment
- You’re passionate about Runna’s mission to make running training effective, easy and enjoyable for everyone!
- You love testing, learning and iterating on strategies to see tangible impact on results
- You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands on and want to get stuck in!

- You’re ideally London based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week)
What the job involves
- We’re hiring a Performance Marketing Manager to support on paid social and display channels
- You’ll own strategy, execution, and optimisation across platforms, working closely with our in-house creative team to unlock rapid, scalable growth
- With significant budgets, dedicated creative support, and a fast-moving team, you’ll be expected to move quickly, test aggressively, and stabilise performance against strict CAC targets
- As we grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to expand into emerging paid channels such as Reddit and Spotify
- You'll have ownership of performance platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, programmatic DSPs)
- Plan and execute campaigns across the funnel (prospecting, retargeting)
- Collaborate with our creative team to ideate, brief, and analyse ad creatives
- Build and manage a performance testing roadmap (hooks, formats, targeting, landing pages)
- Monitor and optimise towards CAC/LTV goals on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
- Troubleshoot signal issues and attribution gaps (Meta Pixel, Appsflyer, S2S, SKAN)
- Enhance measurement frameworks and support incrementality testing
- Suggest opportunities for new automation strategies
- Report on performance and share learnings across Growth and Product teams

As a way to keep fit, running has shot up in popularity in recent years, partially due to accessibility, especially during the pandemic. But for those who want to take running to the next level – whether that be a 5K or a marathon – it can be difficult to know where to start in terms of a training plan. Runna supplies an app with personalised training plans for all types of runs, to help people achieve their running and fitness goals.
Runna was founded in 2020 by running enthusiasts for running enthusiasts, in response to the lack of tools – save paying a professional trainer – available to help runners train. Although there is a wealth of day-to-day running apps available, where Runna stands out is in providing training plans for specific races, which can be distinguished by distance and goal time. In addition, it does this whilst maintaining a sense of community, which has proven to be a popular feature amongst other running apps, and still caters to a range of experience levels.
Runna has since consistent subscriber growth since its launch, serving thousands of users globally. The company plans to build and scale into the future, reach more customers, and expand its team.
