- 8+ years of experience in fund accounting or fund auditing, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role. CPA required

- Ownership mindset
- Ability to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred
- Experience with working fund administrators is preferred
- Experience in private credit, real estate and/or asset-backed lending is preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel; Google Suite proficiency is a plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Director of Fund Accounting to join our team!

- This role reports directly to the Controller
- Perform and oversee the accounting function and team for all of Setpoint’s asset management operations
- Manage the month-end close process for all of Setpoint’s asset management entities, including private credit funds and securitization sponsors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Own the audit and tax functions, working closely with Setpoint’s outside accounting firm to ensure accurate reporting and tax filing
- Coordinate with fund administrators, bankers, and other service providers to ensure Setpoint’s accounting operations run smoothly and effectively
- Coordinate with Setpoint’s Engineering and Product teams to design software features that make accounting processes more accurate and efficient
Our take
Whilst tech innovations have made applying for a loan far quicker and easier, the next step in the process - the management of the loan - is far more complex and still comparatively archaic in its organisation. Originators and lenders use spreadsheets, emails and FTP folders to manage their lending relationships, rendering the process inefficient and prone to errors. Setpoint automates the debt facility management process for lenders.
Founded in 2021, the company claims 98% time saving for lenders, automating data ingestions, calculations and reporting workflows whilst its AI engine computes optimal asset allocation to max ROI. Financial liquidity is increased through access to third-party reviews and certifications, compliantly accelerating capital access. In short, Setpoint streamlines the second, more oblique stage of the lending relationship.
Focused on the property market, Setpoint’s tech could be expanded to other markets. Its focus on real estate, however, has helped it achieve several impressive funding rounds and a 6x year-over-year revenue growth.
