Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of engineering experience with a strong focus on Rust development
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field
- Proven track record of building well-designed and user-friendly developer tools and libraries
- Deep understanding of Rust language features, ecosystems, and established best practices
- Active participation in the Rust community (i.e. contributing to open-source projects, attending conferences, participating in online forums, hosting meetups)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for advocating for developers and fostering a positive community experience
Desirable
- Advanced degree in a technical field
- Experience with building developer tooling using Rust frameworks or libraries
- Experience in creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation
- Familiarity with web development concepts for building interactive developer portals or dashboards
- History of speaking at Rust conferences or meetups
- Contributions to Rust compiler or language evolution discussions

- Nexus is seeking a community-minded Senior Software Engineer to join our developer experience team
- You will be a champion for Rust developers building on the Nexus platform
- Your deep understanding of Rust and involvement in the Rust community will be instrumental in shaping a frictionless and empowering experience for all developers interacting with our platform
- Design, develop, and maintain tools and libraries that enhance the developer experience for building with Rust on Nexus
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and the Rust developer community to identify and address developer pain points
- Craft comprehensive and user-friendly documentation for developer tools and functionalities
- Foster a positive developer experience by actively engaging with the Rust community, providing support, and contributing to relevant discussions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Rust development tools, libraries, and best practices

Nexus Labs is creating zero knowledge-powered scaling and privacy tools to support the rapidly changing digital AI landscape. Its solutions include cybersecurity and cloud computing support, all focused on Nexus Labs Nexus Project - a scientific and engineering scheme to enable verifiable computation at internet scale.
This ambitious project has attracted impressive funding from top Silicon Valley Investors. No surprise, considering the far-reaching motive of Nexus Labs: to bring about a new verifiable internet. The Nexus Project is attempting to draw on cryptography, mathematics and computer science to create a general-purpose system for verifiable computation.
There have already been several versions of the Nexus zkVM, and its funding is being channelled into improving its capabilities. The company’s work is cut out for it, but early interest from investors suggests that it will continue to grow.
