Who you are

Python fluency
A PhD in a STEM field with a computational focus. (Both physical and social scientists are encouraged to apply.)
Mathematical and statistical fluency. (Should be comfortable with calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and numerical analysis.)
Familiarity with both llm’s and classical machine learning techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What the job involves

Transition from academia to industry
Make sense of complex marketplace data at webscale and perform noncommoditized data work
Develop scalable statistical algorithms and predictive models to support real-time decision making in a high frequency ad marketplace
Collaborate cross functionally with product managers, and engineers to define KPI’s, evaluate A/B tests, perform casual inference, and use data to inform product decisions
Apply the creative problem solving skills you learned in academia to business problems
Work in a collaborative team environment with high personal accountability

Our take

Due to the rise in mobile and smart devices in recent years, the way in which advertisement publishers must format their ads is changing. A key example of this is TV, advertisements that present immediate calls to action within a Connected TV user interface, but publishing ads in such a format is currently inaccessible to most publishers.

Magnite provides a sell-side omnichannel advertisement platform for publishers, focused on facilitating the selling of advertising on all formats including CTV, mobile, desktop, and audio. In addition to facilitating the buying and selling of omnichannel ads, the company also provides a real-time ad performance dashboard, data protection and compliance tools, and insights into buying and selling patterns.

Whilst other omnichannel advertisement platforms present significant competition to the company, Magnite stands out by providing an end-to-end marketplace for the buying, selling, management, and analysis of ads.
