FabFitFun is a subscription service that delivers home decor, beauty, fashion and wellness products directly to its subscriber's doors. Subscribers can choose between two different plans and can either pre-pay for 4 boxes a year or pay-as-they-go for a slightly increased price.
The brand targets a premium market and faces competition from numerous other subscription services such as Birchbox, GLOSSYBOX and CAUSEBOX. Users are able to customize some of the products in their box, whereas other products are unchangeable 'surprises'. For brands, the box is a new way to find customers and engage with them.
During the pandemic, FabFitFun doubled subscribers, capitalizing on both the rise of self-care and 'stay at home' restrictions. It has maintained momentum, delivering new features and perks for members, in addition to securing a patent that enables parcel services to serve targeted ads via package tracking pages, status email updates, and other channels, which could prove lucrative for its future.
