- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Analytics, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in marketing analytics and strategy roles
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

What the job involves
- We're seeking a Marketing Research, Measurement, and Strategy Lead to drive data-informed marketing decisions and strategic growth initiatives
- This role will lead our marketing research efforts, combining deep analytical expertise with strategic thinking to shape DevRev's market position and growth trajectory
- It will be a critical leadership role that will help build our growing marketing organization, establishing our marketing research function, working cross-functionally with other senior leaders, and providing coaching, mentorship, and guidance to other, more junior marketers
- Competitive Intelligence: Lead comprehensive competitive research to stay ahead of marketplace dynamics and trends
- Campaign Strategy: Inform data-backed marketing briefs based on marketplace insights and business/user needs
- Impact Measurement: Create frameworks for measuring strategic marketing initiative ROI
- Customer Insight: Analyze and understand both buyer and end-user needs to identify growth opportunities, and champion the voice of the user across the company
- Persona Development: Develop detailed B2B user and buyer personas based on user needs and feedback
- Cross-functional Leadership: Deliver contextually relevant insights across marketing and other departments, working collaboratively with sales, customer experience, finance, product, and engineering
- Product Analytics: Analyze product usage data to map behaviors to user needs and attitudes, and track performance metrics and KPIs to influence product development
- Resource Development: Drive decisions around vendors, software
- Team Leadership: Mentor and help lead a global team, providing strategic focus and clarity within the marketing organization

DevRev helps developers build better products for customers through a platform that connects them to the revenue their applications generate. Their headless, dev-centric CRM hopes to help developers clock technical issues faster by showing more directly how customers use their products.
When the company emerged from stealth mode in 2021, they were already well backed by considerable funding and a highly experienced leadership team. Collating and usefully displaying customer feedback for developers, especially using AI and machine learning, is a tough nut to crack. So DevRev has been savvy in front-loading talent and investment.
The founders’ previous venture Nutanix saw huge success, reaching Unicorn status before going public in 2016. DevRev and its team reached the same in 2024 off the back of Series A funding. This ambitious startup has already delivered the first iteration of what it hopes will become the largest global developer relations product.
