Role
Who you are
- You have several years of professional experience in finance/controlling/FP&A, ideally in a dynamic environment (e.g., scale-up, technology company, or consulting)
- You have strong business acumen and understand how finance and operations add value to the company
- You have the ability to balance strategic and operational tasks, with practical experience in financial modeling and performance management
- You have excellent Excel skills (modeling, scenario analysis, dashboards); knowledge of Airtable or similar tools is also an advantage
- You think analytically and data-driven and make informed, evidence-based decisions and recommendations
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are able to inspire and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Business fluent German and English, both written and spoken
What the job involves
- As (Senior) Finance Manager - Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a key role in shaping the company's financial and operational strategies. Your responsibilities will cover a wide range of functions that are crucial to the success and growth of envelio
- You drive envelio's business development by identifying growth and efficiency potential and transforming financial insights into strategic added value
- You will be responsible for business planning, including forecasts within the fiscal year, annual budgeting, and long-term financial planning
- You will draw conclusions for investor relations and the equity story from financial and operational insights
- You will create business plans and scenario analyses for strategic initiatives and special projects
- You will develop and improve management reporting and present actionable insights to senior management
- You will work closely with the finance team and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the company
- You will establish and continuously improve planning, reporting, and forecasting structures
- You will support the further development of financial KPIs and reporting frameworks
Our take
As the world transitions to sustainable energy, millions of new wind energy systems are being integrated into power grids. As well as the number of new consumer solutions, such as electric charging stations is also rapidly increasing, and the integration of these new systems is putting a strain on distribution grids.
Envelio is a cloud-based smart grid platform providing a solution to this challenge. The Cologne-based company has developed the Intelligent Grid Platform (IGP), a software assistance system that transforms power grids into digital, flexible interactive smart grids. Through IGP grid operation management can be carried out digitally at a quicker, more cost-effective pace.
Born out of the Institute of High Voltage Technology at the RWTH Aachen, Envelio has since grown a steady customer base for itself and expanded on an international scale. Recognised as a clean-tech software company, Envelio is driving the change to sustainable energy.
